Independence Day is widely celebrated throughout Southeastern Idaho. Whether you are looking for a parade, an amazing fireworks show, or a family friendly rodeo, there is sure to be something to excite you.

Rexburg will be kicking off the 4th of July with their 83rd annual Independence Day Parade put on by the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The parade goes from 10:00-11:00 AM and begins near Smith Park. This parade is planned with a specific theme each year to keep it entertaining for the viewers. There are at least 5,000 in attendance every year. Be sure to get there early to get a good view of the action.

Keep the festivities rolling by attending the Day in the Park at Porter Park. Here you find food, commercial and arts & crafts booths. There will also be live bands and many other activities including a mechanical bull from the County Fair Board.

The day closes with the Madison County Open Rodeo. This year's Whoopee Days Rodeo is being held on July 4th & 5th at the Madison County Fair Grounds. The Rodeo begins at 7:30 PM with Mutton Bustin' and then we get into the main event at 8:00 PM. The events include, Breakaway, Calf Ropin', Barrel Racing, and Jr. Barrels. This year there will also be Miniature Bulls from Casperson Miniature Bulls. There is plenty to keep your family entertained.

At the close of the Rodeo, Rexburg says goodnight with their annual Fireworks after the Rodeo to end your holiday on a perfect note.
